On Wednesday 15th May, The British School of St Petersburg held its first presentation event at our newly built campus. The school was honoured to have in attendance distinguished guests Mr Vladimir Zapevalov from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Head of Petrogradskiy District Administration, Mr Ivan Gromov, both of whom warmly welcomed the BSSP to the city of St Petersburg.
During his speech, Australian Honorary Consul Northwest Russia Consular District, Mr Sebastian Fitzlyon, highlighted the importance of BSSP for the international business community as a whole. And Mr Igor Onokov, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malta in St. Petersburg, regarded the school as having an extremely positive impact on the educational offering for the city.
The event was very well attended by interested parents who saw first-hand what the new BSSP campus will look like when it opens its doors in August 2019.
Headteacher, Mr Leon Clarke announced to attendees that BSSP will be offering an international education based on the English National Curriculum for children between 2 and 8 years old and will be taught by native speaking and UK trained classroom teachers.
BSSP is part of The Schools Trust a global network of schools, which also sees the September opening of new schools in Lisbon, Portugal, and Vilnius, Lithuania.
